Grandma and Grandpa Ellsworth move to the south....

It's official, Grandma and Grandpa Ellsworth are moving to Knoxville, TN, which is about 3 1/2 hours from here.  We are so excited to have them live closer to us.  The kids are always so excited when they come for a visit and now we can see them more often.
Grandpa drove out for a visit while staying in Hollywood, AL.  It was a short visit, but fun to have him here.

Logan

Logan is almost 5 months now.  I can't believe how quickly time has gone by.  There are days I still can't believe he's here.  He is such a good baby, very easy going and content.  We just had his 4 month check up a couple of weeks ago and he is in the 99th percentile for height, and 75th for weight.  He wears 6-9 month clothing, so he's a big boy.  He's always so smiley and constantly on the move.  Braxton and Hailey love their little brother, they always want to help, even with changing the diapers.  We are definately blessed to have him part of our family.

Mike trying to put Logan to sleep....I guess he's good at it, cause he put himself to sleep as well.

A birthday and basketball

Braxton just finished up another season of basketball.  True to form, he was once again on a "losing" team.  They only won 1 game.  That aside, Braxton had a great season.  He made at least half the their points at every game.  He was by far one of the tallest kids and because of all of his playing with the Sampson boys he's become pretty good.
He is #32 in the red jersey
 Blocking the ball

Braxton just turned 11 a couple of weeks ago.  Boy does time fly....it seriously seems like yesterday that he was a little baby.  This year I gave him a choice to have a "real" birthday party or to have family and close friends over.  He chose the friends and family.  So, we had the Crosby's, Maddox's and the Sampsons over for dinner and games.  Mike ordered him a 6ft subway sandwich, which he and the boys were talking about all week, and since he doesn't really like cake I made a tower of donuts.
Braxton is growing up to become such an awesome person.  We love him and are so blessed to have him be a part of our family.

Snow Days!!

Christmas vacation came to an end and back to school the kids went, but not for long....a week after they returned, we got a big snow storm, which dumped close to a foot of snow.  That's pretty much unheard of down here in the south.  The city pretty much shut down along with school for a week.  The kids were so excited...and they really enjoyed playing in the snow
.
Braxton, Parker and Zach spent two days building an igloo.  They had a lot of fun doing it and decided once it was done that they were going to sleep in it....they took out blankets and pillows and a tarp to cover the door.  They made it about 2 hours before coming inside because it was too cold...at least they tried.

The snow storm hit, just after my surgery, so I was in bed for most of the week.  Poor Ellie would just sit at the window and watch the kids play.  She's not very good at staying in the yard if we let her out, so she stayed inside and kept me company.

 Logan ready to head outside.

A couple of days after it snowe we had a sleet storm, which put a layer of ice on top of the snow.  That didn't make for good "playing" snow, but it was so pretty.  Especially at night when the lights would reflect off the ice.  It looked like an ice skating rink.
